John Crabtree

John Crabtree is a passionate idealist. He believes in great food, great wine and great service. As owner of the Kittle House for nearly three decades, he has transformed it into the extremely successful and beloved Inn and Restaurant that it is today.

From the beginning, John and his wife Amy, wanted to serve creative, world-class fare made with locally grown, organic ingredients from the Hudson Valley in a warm and inviting setting. The renowned Kittle House wine cellar, built from the ground up when John purchased the Inn and Restaurant, was started from an abiding passion for wine.

John’s generous spirit apparent in the welcoming ambience at the Kittle House extends to his non-restaurant work as well. For his service he has been recipient of several awards, including Make-A-Wish Foundation Honoree, the United Way Community Service Award, the Paul Harris Fellowship Award (Chappaqua Rotary) and the Northern Westchester Center for the Arts Award.
